Wherehouse

One connected system for South African sellers

Grow every channel without the operational drag.

Get your whole range live on Takealot, Makro, Amazon and the rest in days, not months. Wherehouse keeps stock, orders and pricing in step, and feeds real marketplace fees into the books you already run.

You've got the products. They're just not where the buyers are.

Every marketplace you add multiplies the admin: different loadsheets, stock in too many places, prices that don't move, books that don't reconcile. Most sellers stall before they start. The ones who push through often oversell, and risk their marketplace SLA or having the account suspended.

๐Ÿ‘€ More eyeballs

Millions of shoppers start on Takealot, Makro and Amazon. Extra shelves and extra discovery, on top of wherever you sell today.

๐Ÿ† More credibility

Showing up next to trusted retailers makes the brand feel established to shoppers who would never have found you on their own.

โœ… Ops stay simple

One connection to the store, ERP and accounting you already run. Stock, orders and fees flow in the background.

๐Ÿš€ Product listing

Get the whole range live, in days

Listing one SKU is fine. Listing hundreds across marketplaces is a full-time job. We take the catalogue you already have and submit it in bulk.

  • Pick products, pick a marketplace, send
  • AI fills thin titles, attributes and copy
  • If the page already exists, we attach your offer
๐Ÿ”„ Sync

Stock, orders and fees stay in step

This is the part that keeps growth from turning into chaos. Connect once, then it runs in the background.

  • Stock updates so you don't oversell
  • Marketplace orders land in your store or ERP
  • Fees and payouts hit the books as they really are

Your rules, not a generic sync

How it works

01

Connect

Your store, ERP, marketplace accounts, or the catalogue you already have. You pick the system of truth.

02

See the opportunity

Wherehouse ranks what isn't live yet, and what each product could be worth on that marketplace.

03

Submit in bulk

Pick products, pick a marketplace, send. Hundreds of SKUs in one go. Days, not months.

04

Stay connected

Sync keeps stock, orders and fees flowing, with your own business logic on top.

A person on your account, not a dump of history

A dedicated account manager helps you onboard and learns how your business actually flows. We run specified example orders first. Nothing automatic goes through until those are right, so connecting Wherehouse will not rewrite a year of accounting overnight.

Every record runs through the same four-stage pipeline

This is why Wherehouse fits almost any seller's setup. Drop what you don't want, translate fields to each platform's shape, tweak values with your rules, then find-and-replace where needed.

Filter

Drop the noise

Skip cancelled orders, discontinued SKUs, or a brand you don't want on that channel.

Map

Translate fields

Copy, set a fixed value, or carry custom attributes from your ERP into the next system.

Adjust

Apply your logic

Maths, prepend/append, conditions. Raise a price, add a stock buffer, build a reference.

Replace

Clean the output

Find-and-replace titles, swap category names, or set a default when a field is empty.

Your business logic, not ours

Rules that match how you actually sell

  • Increase Takealot price by 10% when stock drops below 10 units
  • Hold a 15% stock buffer on one marketplace so you never oversell
  • Prepend TAL- to the order reference, and append the DC code
  • Only list a product if a custom attribute says that channel is allowed
  • Sell your own stock first, then fall back to supplier availability

Conditions gate every stage, so a rule can apply to Takealot and leave Makro alone.

Custom data travels with the product

Warehouse bin, tax class, lead-time bucket, supplier reference: if it lives in your system and has no home on a standard field, we store it as a custom attribute and reuse it.

  • Ingest from the ERP, feed or marketplace
  • Sync it out to another channel in that channel's shape
  • Drive filters, conditions and pricing rules off it
  • Slice the catalogue in the dashboard by your own fields

You pick the system of truth: an ERP, a store, or a spreadsheet. Shopify can be both store and inventory hub.

Built for messy catalogues, not just tidy ones

Listing, buy box, books, more

Get listed, then keep winning

๐Ÿš€ Product listing

  • Opportunities ranked by estimated revenue, so you start with what is most likely to sell
  • AI fills thin titles, descriptions and attributes so listings are marketplace-ready
  • If a product page already exists, we attach your offer instead of creating a duplicate
  • R5 per SKU, once-off. Failures to submit are refunded

๐Ÿ’ต Buy box repricing

  • Watch competitor prices continuously on Takealot and Makro
  • Decide a winning price, then push it through your own seller account
  • Fixed band, or cost-based from cost plus fees to a profit target
  • Never below your floor. If we can't win profitably, we hold

Makro alone can unlock 15 to 30% extra revenue for sellers who compete properly on price.

Books that match what actually paid out

๐Ÿ“Š Real fees, clean invoices

A marketplace sale isn't the sticker price. Commission, fulfilment and other deductions ride along with every order, so net margin is a fact.

  • Invoices created in Xero, QuickBooks or Zoho Books
  • Credit notes for returns, automatically
  • Customer tax invoices with name, address and VAT filled in

๐Ÿงญ We plug in. We don't replace your accountant.

If your ERP already talks to Xero, we leave that link alone and handle the marketplaces and stock. Running Shopify with no ERP? We write the invoices to Xero directly.

Either way, your accountant keeps working in the system they know.

What else sits on the same connection

๐Ÿ“ˆ Analyse

True profit, not gross

One dashboard for sales, stock and what you actually keep, on desktop or mobile. Compare periods. See which products are worth pushing.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Stock recon

Claim what Takealot owes

We read Takealot's monthly recon sheet and build a compliant claim, so you recover inventory they can't account for instead of leaving it.

See the guide
๐Ÿญ Supplier feeds

Sell stock you don't hold

Connect Syntech, Pinnacle, Amrod and more. Combine supplier availability with your own SOH, and cost-base price off the live supplier offer.

For teams that want to build on top

Public API on Retail and up

If you have developers, they can read orders, products and buy box data, drive repricers in bulk, and push tracking, without waiting on a new connector. It complements the mapping pipeline. It doesn't replace it.

Trusted by SA sellers since 2019

Why sellers trust Wherehouse

๐Ÿ”’ We guard your data

We never sell or share your personal, product or sales data. Encryption is standard, with optional two-factor authentication on every account. Security processes are vetted by independent third parties.

๐Ÿค We never compete with you

We're a SaaS platform, not a marketplace seller. We will never list against your range, and we never sell your data to anyone. A handful of local tools do sync. Almost nobody also does listing, repricing and real accounting in one system.

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Built here, for this market

Since 2019 we've been connecting South African sellers to Takealot, Makro, Amazon and the rest. 763,319+ products in sync. R650m+ marketplace revenue flowing through every year.

โšก We never cut you off

Go over your order plan and we keep syncing. Overages are a conversation about the right plan, not a switch we flip. Your operations don't break because you had a good month.

No onboarding fees. Ever.

You only pay once the account is live

There are no setup fees on any plan. During onboarding we ingest your catalogue and sync a couple of test orders and products, so you know it works before you rely on it. Billed monthly. Cancel any time.

Proof, and what we won't oversell

Mr Vinyl

6,700+ SKUs ยท 3 new marketplaces

Takealot, Makro, Bobshop. Zero extra hires.

"Wherehouse let us reach every screen in South Africa, without changing how we work."

Supernova Brands

+40% GMV ยท zero manual overhead

Cin7 Core as the hub. Channels synced in the background, without platform-hopping.

Honest limits

  • Auto-listing is best-effort. Most sellers see 90%+ success, but marketplace QC can still fail.
  • We don't sell listing without sync. Listing alone just sets you up to oversell.

"Wherehouse has changed my life and my business. From the time someone places an order right up until they receive it, I could literally be asleep if I choose."

Simone Penn
CEO, Mothers' Nature Cosmetics

"Wherehouse painlessly synchronises our inventory and orders to all our sales channels and our accounting system. It even tracks returns and refunds."

Cary Pragdin
General Manager, GreenPaws
