How do Takealot and Superbalist work together?

You pick the system of truth (usually the ERP or store for stock). Wherehouse keeps Takealot and Superbalist in step: stock, orders and pricing flow with your rules, so you are not recapturing data between them. A dedicated account manager sets this up with example orders first.

Do I still need the Takealot seller portal?

Yes. You keep owning the seller account. Wherehouse keeps stock, orders and fees flowing through it, and can list and reprice without you living in the portal. Think of us as the operator layer, not a replacement marketplace login.

Can you list my catalogue on Takealot?

Yes. We take the product data you already have, reshape it for Takealot, and submit in bulk. R5 per SKU, once-off. Failures to submit are refunded. Auto-listing is best-effort: most sellers see 90%+ success, but Takealot QC can still fail a row.

How do you stop overselling on Takealot?

Stock updates from the store or ERP you pick as truth. You can hold a buffer on Takealot so another channel can still sell the last units. Overrides can force a SKU out of stock on Takealot without touching Makro.

What about Takealot fees and stock recon?

Per-order fees come through with the sale so profit and accounting are real. On the recon side, we can read Takealot’s monthly sheet and help you build a compliant claim for inventory they cannot account for, instead of leaving it.

Can you win the Takealot Buy Box?

The repricer watches competitor prices and pushes a winning price through your own seller account. Fixed band, or cost-based from cost plus fees to a profit target. Never below your floor. If we cannot win profitably, we hold.

Is this the same as selling on the Superbalist marketplace?

No. This is the supplier / B2B side: purchase orders the retailer raises on you. Marketplace selling is a separate connection. Many brands run both, from the same Wherehouse account.

Is there a setup fee?

No. There are no setup fees on any plan. During onboarding we ingest your catalogue and sync a couple of test orders and products, so you know it works before you rely on it. You only pay once the account is live. Billed monthly. Cancel any time.
